Creative & Meditative vacation on Crete
Welcome to the (almost) southernmost point of Europe – on the island of Minos, with over 300 days of sunshine Crete is one of the sunniest places in Europe. Bathing is possible from April to November in one of the cleanest waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The high salt content of the water has a healing effect and contributes to relaxation and well-being.
Kretakreativ is not a club or spiritual center, here the offers take place in a small framework and in a warm, family atmosphere. With our hiking and excursion offers you will get an insight into the soul of Crete.
The magic of Crete
In the center of the south coast is the picturesque Plakias, surrounded by original mountain villages, deep gorges, bizarre mountain landscapes and small bays with crystal clear water. Once considered an insider tip by backpackers, this region has developed into a destination for individual tourists.
Numerous taverns, shopping, cafes and souvenir stores complement this lively place. Ca. 2½ km from Plakias is the center of Kretakreativ, the Phoenix and Souda Mare hotels.
The Hotel Souda Mare is beautifully situated between palm trees and many plants, as well as the Hotel Phoenix, which is right next door, each offer 17 typical double rooms. They are all equipped with shower/WC and have sea view, loggia or balcony (air conditioning can be added on site). Enjoy the magnificent panoramic view from the 1. Floor of the Hotel Phoenix.
A few minutes away from the hotels, crystal clear water and a fine pebble sand beach invites you for a swim.
Individual vacation program on Crete
The open program makes you want to try something new and takes place four days a week. The offers give you the possibility to try out the different activities according to your wishes and thus to arrange every day of your vacation freely and personally.
The program invites you to try and experiment and creates the possibility of an individual vacation in a small group of like-minded people.
Each week a new balanced program with at least 2 offers per day is arranged for 4 days from the following selection:

The fascination of the wild and romantic landscape of Crete can only be felt when walking through it. The goal of the workshop is to learn how to use your digital camera beyond the automatic program in order to create fascinating pictures not only by chance but consciously. Discover the facets of digital photography and at the same time many beautiful places of Crete, where you can immediately put the acquired knowledge into practice. In the advanced course you have the opportunity to implement and expand the knowledge already acquired.
